Planes

Growing up in Hawaii, I learned to love airplanes at an early age. I'd like to think that I was not that crying infant sitting behind you, kicking your seat. And instead the child content with a puzzle, but I can't be too sure. Hawaii is a great place to vacations. Let's face it, most people in the continental U.S. would kill for a week on the picturesque island chain. But visiting a place, and being born and raised there, is a complete different story. Have you ever heard of island fever? That's would about sum up how I felt every few months, and I'm sure my parents felt the same. So we would constantly up and leave to some far off location halfway across the world, for at least a few weeks. When you live in Hawaii, California is your closest destination, but is still 5 hours away. We've always thought, if you're going to make a trip, why not make it a big one. So instead of going to California, why not try Japan or Australia, it only takes a few more hours, and is so much more exciting! With this philosophy I have become a well versed traveler. With only 20 years under my belt, I have been to 20 different countries, and some even multiple times. I go to college in Colorado, so I am becoming more familiar with the mainland (United States), and spent a semester in Melbourne, Australia. Finally, this summer, I am spending a few months in Revenna, Italy. I hope to share my reviews of cities, hotels, transportation, shops, and restaurants with you to assist you with your travels.

The number of airlines that circumnavigate the globe is overwhelming. Worrying about all of the airlines in the United States is bad enough, but throw in the European, Asian, and African airlines, and you've got hundreds to choose from. My travels have not only taken me to many new cities, but also on lots of different airlines. I must say, though, my favorite of them all is Quantas. This is an Australian airline that travels within Australia, as well as to and from. The seats provide a good amount of legroom, there is plenty of room for luggage, the service is exceptional, and in my experience, have always departed and arrived in a timely manner. I also really like Japan Airlines (JAL), with whom I have never had a bad experience. When I travel within the United States, my airline of choice is Continental Airlines. Airlines in the states all have problems to speak of, but I think Continental has the fewest. Their flights are usually on time, they have a lot of flights available, and the prices are reasonable for their services. One airline I have qualms with, is United Airlines. I have had many delays due to who knows what, a few cancelled flights, and lost bags. Whenever I fly with them, and I only do when there is no other choice, I am in fear that something will go catastrophically wrong, and that's never the way you want to being or end a trip. Anyway, those are a few of my thoughts on airlines, hope they help.
